GROUND ENGAGING TOOLS AND UNDERCARRIAGE

Ground Engaging Tools and Undercarriage are parts that when they are mounted on the equipment, they wear out by reason of the friction with the soil (abrasion). They are responsible for performing the cutting, penetration work and help to protect high-value components, reduce operating costs and ensure that the maximum performance of the equipment is achieved. Because of this issue, Ground Engaging Tools and Undercarriage must pay special attention when there is a need to change them. Regarding the kinds of steel used in the METISA:

ATC Line - High Carbon Steel without Heat Treatment. They are resistant to wear and are intended for light duty applications. Identified by the yellow paint and the low relief marking of the METISA logo, product code and Production Order Number. (OP).

Line AR-1 - Heat-treated Boron Microalloyed Steel. For being temperate integrally, it provides a greater hardness and resistance, therefore, they are recommended for severe services, due to its high resistance to wear and impact. Identified by the red paint and the low relief marking of the METISA logo, product code, Production Order Number (OP) and AR-1;

Cast Line - Medium Chromium and Silicon Alloy Steel with Heat Treatment. They are identified by the yellow color and the embossed marking of the METISA or GETLF logo.

They are produced in high carbon steels without heat treatment or micro-alloyed with boron (Line AR-1) with heat treatment.

They are produced in high carbon steels without heat treatment or micro-alloyed with boron (Line AR-1) with heat treatment.

The nails are produced in micro-alloyed boron steels (Line AR-1) with heat treatment, and the supports in high carbon steels without heat treatment or micro-alloyed boron (Line AR-1) with heat treatment.

They are made of medium-alloyed chrome and silicon steel with heat treatment.

• Apliccations: the recovery of the shoes with METISA grouser bars ensures the tractor the original performance.

• Apliccations: used in crawler tractors, hydraulic excavators and cane harvesters.

• Properties: they are made of boron microalloyed steels (Line AR-1), tempered and hardened.
